As CNN correspondent Anderson Cooper dodges rockets while reporting from Gaza on its ongoing conflict with Israel, he’s also dodging — and responding to — criticism from Internet trolls.
When Cooper tweeted on Monday about Hamas firing rockets from a spot beside a media centre in Gaza, hit the day before by IDF missiles, a Twitter user urged him to report “the facts.”
In a tweet that appears to have now been deleted, a woman by the name of Pamela Weiss told Cooper to “report a fair story” and mention the rockets being fired from inside Gaza.

Cooper, who was nearby during a live report when a large explosion occurred behind him in Gaza, took the opportunity to respond to Weiss with a personal counter attack.

He accused the woman of being too busy tweeting about flan — a detail he appeared to glean from her Twitter feed — to keep up with the news.
When an anonymous user suggested Cooper would be attacked in Palestine for being gay, the CNN correspondent slammed the user for not having the courage to reveal his identity and called him a Internet troll who eats Fritos.
Some users, however, just seemed confused about where Cooper was reporting from in the first place.
