Tempest in a Triple-D Cup

"Students who participate in the protest are exercising their democratic right to protest."
"Staff will supervise students as they leave class and exit the building."
"Those students choosing to join the protest will be just off school property with others at the front of the school."
Oakville-Trafalgar High School, email sent to parents of students
Images of a transgender Oakville Trafalgar High School teacher have caused a stir on social media.
Almost a month after the issue of a workshop high school teacher who presents as transgender, showed up in the classroom wearing oversized breast prosthetics with exaggerated protruding nipples, and videos posted online in an evident attempt at provocation, the teacher who launched an incredulous buzz among students, parents, the community and other disbelieving citizens is still on the job, still wearing those prosthetics, still teaching shop, and the Oakville Trafalgar High School where he/she teaches is attempting to wait out the controversy, hoping the situation will 'normalize' whatever that may be construed as.

'Normalization' appears to mean in the minds of the school administration and the school board, that no one take notice of the mockery of biological gender. That the stir it created quiets down. That agitated parents of students at the school 'take a pill' and move on. That students at the high school approaching adulthood stop making a fuss over the matter and bringing it to the attention of the public, rather than simply shrugging it off.

The absurdity of the staging of a 'transgender' shop teacher at a high school parading in a set of fake breasts in front of her young male students while teaching them the manly art of woodworking at a shop class day after day, has made international news, with still photos taken from the videos emphasizing just how outlandishly incredible the entire matter is. Only in Canada? they may assume, and they may be right. A symbol of a woke government in complete sympathy with the in-your-face farce.

Oakville teacher shocks students by wearing huge prosthetic ...
Students at the school, it appears, are still posting videos. And no doubt the teacher hugely appreciates the unpaid (and solicited) publicity. A teacher the school administration will not discuss, will not name, and obviously will not admonish. A school administration that certainly does not speak for all its staff, many of whom have reason to be concerned at the mockery their profession has become, along with female staff who presumably may take umbrage at an insult to their sex.

The Ontario Minister of Education requested that the Ontario College of Teachers review and consider altering professional conduct provisions, and the college has consented. "The College has been reviewing its professional standards in response to Minister [Stephen] Lecce's request. We will provide our response to the Minister when it is ready", announced a college spokesperson.

And while the school administration does nothing to ameliorate the situation, as though the outrageous behaviour of one of their teaching staff is of little concern to them, it seems what does concern them is the many parents who have expressed their written uneasiness over the situation to the school and the board. Along with the students who mount protests in front of the school. Accordingly emails were sent out to parents informing them police will be on site to "ensure students are behaving and protesting responsibly and safely".
"[The board]= continues to handle this matter in a way that stays true to our values and commitment to Human Rights, respects the privacy and dignity of our students and staff, and with the safety and well-being of students and staff as our highest priority."
"The HDSB [Halton District School Board] has received significant attention online and in the news over the past few weeks."
"While we understand the desire for information by the public, we will not and cannot publicly discuss any matter that identifies our staff directly or indirectly."
"We trust the public will understand the parameters that guide us."
Heather Francey, board spokesperson
