The Palestinian Cause is not Indigenous Canadians'

"There must never be an acceptance in a modern Canadian society of a justification for terror, violence, targeted civilian massacres, or kidnapping."
"As Indigenous Peoples in Canada, we fundamentally reject the politically motivated adoption of our historic and ongoing relationship with the Crown by some Canadians to justify these evil actions by terrorists."
Grouping of First Nations Leaders

"What has troubled me the most has been the frequency with which my peoples' struggle for reconciliation has been invoked to justify the bloodshed, often by so-called 'experts in the academy."
"This is an absurd and, frankly, offensive comparison, as Indigenous-Canadians and Palestinians stand worlds apart."
"I cannot imagine living in a society where war is normalized in order to keep the peace against terrorism."

Three weeks after the Hamas bloody incursion into Israel that led to savagery unimaginable by any civilized mind, the public demonstrations in Canada against Israel and in support of Palestinian Hamas's massacre of innocent people, rape, mutilations and abduction of children, women and the elderly, a group of leaders of First Nations forwarded a letter to the Canadian minister of foreign affairs urging the government of Justin Trudeau to outright reject the link that Hamas supporters have made to Indigenous 'decolonization'.

One of the signatories, a communications consultant based in Toronto and member of the Dokis First Nation, explained that other signees chose to remain anonymous resulting from fears of being targeted by pro-Palestinians. The purpose of the letter was a hugely adverse reaction to a now-common theme resounding among statements from Canadian academics, activists and politicians seeking to justify the October 7 Hamas mass-murder of over 1,400 people, framed by those statements as a form of decolonial 'resistance'.

Law students at Toronto Metropolitan University this week issued a statement in which they justified the October 7 incursion into Israel replete with mass rape, massive killings, torture, mutilation, and the abduction of hundreds of children, women, the elderly, soldiers, as a legitimate act of "Palestinian resistance", while characterizing Canada as another illegitimate "settler colony".

The York Federation of Students issued a statement last week as well, implying Canada to be overdue for the type of indiscriminate violence that was perpetrated against Israelis. "From Turtle Island to Palestine, and across all occupied lands, these events serve as a reminder that resistance against colonial violence is justified and necessary."

The Ontario Legislative Assembly censured an Ontario MPP for issuing a statement blaming Israel for the attacks, contending that Israel had brought the massacre on itself with violence "rooted in settler colonialism". She then took the opportunity to denounce Canada's "settler colonial system". Thanks to Canada's generous immigration intake and its humanitarian acceptance of 'refugees' and 'migrants' the country has been thoroughly infiltrated by ME malcontents bringing with them their hatred of Jews.
Chris Sankey: "Stop comparing Palestinians to Indigenous-Canadians."
"Jews are indigenous to the Land of Israel."
" Any comparison between Palestinians and First Nations is a deliberate misconstrual of history."

This opportunity to campaign in public against Jews, purported Jewish influence, and the very existence of Israel in the Middle East has brought these haters and supporters of terrorism out in numbers. They have been influential in infiltrating academia, business, government, unions, journalism and social media re-awakening latent antisemitism in Canada's own home-grown haters, assembling passionate followers to publicly support Palestinian 'resistance' such as Hamas's massacre of innocents as a virtue.

Indigenous symbols like the Mohawk warrior flag make appearances at rallies that have continued to be held in major cities across Canada in support of Gaza's Palestinians and their Hamas leadership. Israel's name as a nation is in disfavour, the preferential nomenclature is that of "Occupier" or "Zionist Oppressor", while Canada is named as "so-called Canada" and "unceded Indigenous land".
"Our movement is about reclamation, not revenge. Decolonization is not about rape, kidnapping, hostage taking, mass violence and child murder."
"If this is what 'decolonization' actually means to the academic and activist world, and the people within it, I'm having none of it."
